Aim: - узагальнити і систематизувати знання учнів з теми, сприяти підвищенню мотивації учнів до отримання нових знань,
виробленню вміння аргументувати та захищати свої ідеї,
формуванню навичок самоорганізації шляхом залучення до
створення групових проектів;
- розвивати дослідницькі здібності учнів, комунікативні уміння та вміння презентувати результати роботи;
- стимулювати до самооцінки та взаємооцінки;
- виховувати почуття відповідальності, культуру розумової
праці.

THE PROCEDURE
І. Підготовка до сприйняття іншомовного спілкування.

T: Everybody knows that choosing a career and getting a profession are two things any person passes through in his life. Soon you’ll finish the gymnasium. All of you think over the question of choosing a profession. So today we’ll speak about this problem. The topic of our lesson is “ Labour and professions”. At this lesson you’ll know about some problems connected with choosing a career and getting a job, participate in presentation group projects and discuss them.
c) Warm-up. Brainstorming.
Think over the reasons why do people work and complete the Mind-Map.
Why do people work?
- in order to live;
- a moral necessity;
- society’s rule;
- a natural necessity;
- make a career;
- a way to exist;
- a way to improve one’s level of life,…
d) Grammar and vocabulary practice. Career Advisor. (group work)
imagine that you are a career advisor. What job do you recommend a man according to his abilities and interests. You have 2 minutes to think over hard and 1 minute to present your decision.
3. The presentation of the pupils’ group project.
What are you expecting of today’s presentation?
1.The part of choosing a profession in a man’s life.
2. The problems of provision of employment.
3. Who helps you?
4. A school-leaver and a society.
4. Discussion.
- what do you think it is useful for you to work in a group? Why?
- how do you estimate the work of your group?
- what information have you used in your work?
Before the appreciation of the group project you may ask some questions to the groups.
5. Do questionnaire.
Most of you sometimes ask yourselves such question- profession suits me but have I some capacities for it. Most of the professions requires communication skills. Let’s know what speaker are you. I propose you a questionnaire” Can you control yourself during the conversation?” Everybody fills in the blank, then each group must analyze the information and present the results.

2. Homework.
Mark 9 – write an advice in such situation: a man wants to have this profession but hasn’t capacities for it. What must he do?
Mark 12- write a short composition on one of the topics:
- what is one new job that you think will appear in the future? How will this job be important to the society?
- Which occupations do you think are most respected by society and why?

If you answered No the 1st, 5th, 7th questions and if your answer Yes all the other questions give yourself 1 point for the each answer.
0-3 points – you have the lowest level of communication control. You don’t want to change your behavior according to the situation. Some people think that you are not pleasant speaker because you are straightforward person.
4-6 points – you have the middle level of communication control. You are a sincere person but can control your emotions. You should more think over how to behave yourself with other people.
7-10 points – you have the high level of communication control. You can act any role easily and understand what impressions you make on the other people.
